GeoEnPro Petroleum Ltd. An Indian registered Company, a 50-50 joint venture between Jubilant Enpro Ltd. & Geopetrol International Inc., France. Jubilant Enpro is a rapidly growing company involved in, among other things, oil & gas properties. It is a part of the larger group of Bhartia's Jubilant Corporation. Geopetrol International Inc. is an oil and Gas production company with operations in France, Vietnam, India, Cameron and planned investments in other part of Africa and Asia.

The Project: Kharsang Oil Field

Government of India awarded Kharsang Oil Field to a consortium of four partners i.e. Oil India Ltd.(40%), Jubilant Enpro Ltd. (25%), Geopetrol International Inc. (25%) & GeoEnpro Petroleum Ltd. (10%) under a Production sharing Contract (PCS) dated 16th June 1995. The PSC is for a period of 25 years with an extension options for another period of 10 years. GeoEnpro Petroleum is Operator to the Kharsang Oil Filed.

Kharsang Oil Field, approx. 11 sq. km is located in the state of Arunachal Pradesh. The Oil field has 36 wells including 4 gas wells. Kharsang has been developed as an oil field producing high wax & low wax sweet crude ranging in API gravity from 16 to 36. The producing formations are a braided stream environment with multiple layers of sand that may or may not be connected. 36 wells have been drilled to Up to 1600 meters in depth to exploit the oil.

Kharsang Oil Field has full-fledged production facilities i.e. OCS with capacity of 600 m3/d, CTTF, Captive Power Generating Unit, Fire Station. Oil is transported by tanker truck to Digboi, which is 63 kms away.

Site

Kharsang field is spread over an 11 square kilometer area, in a foot hill jungle region with good roads and sand graveled well locations. There is no hydrogen sulphide in the produced crude/gas.

Kharsang is located in a relatively remote foot hill jungle area of Arunachal Pradesh with several tribal villages in the area. All needs of the operations are created by the company. The project is supported from the Head Office at New Delhi. The Head Office staff consists of Sr. Vice President, Financial Controller-cum-Company Secretary and Engineering & Procurement Manager assisted by a small dedicated team of Office Staff.
